Eye Opening Opportunity
By Dakim | April 21, 2008
Imagine getting paid to drive to grocery store to pick up some milk. Or how about getting a check for walking your dog. Or best of all, wouldn’t you just love to get paid for sitting in morning traffic! That’s the idea behind my latest investigation, Eyeearn.com. I came across this Co-op advertising network and I thought it deserved a closer look.
The Premise
You pay $20 to receive a kit that contains (3) car vinyl decals, a T-shirt and some business cards. To activate your membership all you have to is send in a picture showing you wearing your t-shirt and the car decal in your car. Once activated you begin to receive monthly commission checks generated from your advertising efforts and the efforts of all of the eye earners worldwide.
Here’s an excerpt from a press release announcing the service:
”Anyone can still easily get paid for driving and get it started today. They can be on their way to receiving some easy money every month, just for having a vinyl banner on a car window! They share in the results of the advertising, PLUS the results of the thousands of other “Eye Earners” advertising around the world! And receive commissions from all outlets making sales under the roof of Max Malls.”
EyeEarn and Max Malls are part of the SFI Marketing Group, which is one of the biggest Multi Level Marketing companies in the world ( I will file a report on SFI in the near future). The fact that EyeEarn is part of SFI does lend it credibility but it can it be that simple? Making money just for driving around with a little sticker on your car?
Yes, but…
I’ve scanned dozens of forums and message boards to see if I can find anyone who has made any money off of EyeEarn and so far I came across a handful. One blogger posted his earnings from EyeEarn for the month March 2008. His take….$15.14. You read that right. Another blogger earned $18.80. And I’ve read posts in a couple of forums where some people have earned less that this. I didn’t get the sense that these people were angry or disappointed over the amount of their commissions. Quite the opposite, they were encourage that they receive a check for doing almost nothing….and these amounts were improving. Other boards make notice of the fact the it is easy to get affiliate sign ups which translate into bigger checks down the line.
Advance Earnings
What kind of opportunity would EyeEarn be if it didn’t give you a chance to accelerate your earnings. SFI has set up a share based system where you can a greater commission based on the number of shares you own. Without looking to deeply into SFI I can’t detail that exact workings of the system but I can tell you that you get 1 share for signing out to EyeEarn and another shopping at Max Mall.com and more for other activities related to building your team. When I started reading how the shares were broken down my head started to roll. If you’re interest in further detail check out this post on a SFI affiliate blog. Bottom line is that in order to make some serious cash you have to put in some work.
Complaints Anyone?
EyeEarn and Max Mall are all under the umbrella of SFI Marketing Group. The Better Business Bureau has SFI as an accredited member of the BBB since 1/2000 with a satisfactory rating. There have been 15 complaints filed against them in the last 36 months but all have been resolved or closed. You can read the the report here. Note: there is no way to determine if these complaints were related to Eyeearn or Max Mall.
Final Words
I think this a opportunity worth investing in, so I going to sign up and get a starter kit. I’ll keep you posted on my progress and update this report with my earnings. If you’re interested in joining EyeEarn, you can do it here.
