Project Payday

If you have ever tried to find a way to make money online then you have had to been bombarded with tons and tons of ads stating that the secret to making $1000′s a day were a mere click away?  These ads are every where and they are very seductive.  But if you are like me you’re skeptical of anything you see online.   So when I saw the ad saying “realistic extra income for the average joe” I was instantly intrigued.  I wanted to know if this was legit or a another scam.  So I put on my private eye hat and got to digging, here’s what I found:

Project Payday

The Pitch:

Project Payday says that “realistic extra income” is possible for anyone who wants it.  They define realistic as anywhere from  $200 to $2,500 in a month.  That’s a long way from the thousands of dollars a day that many WAH’s (work at home) systems claim and that’s part of the allure of the system.  There’s also the claim that there are no special skills needed and that you can start earning money within the first 24 hours of joining.

The system is based on Incentive Free Websites(IFW).  Those sites that offer free Ipods, Xbox 360s, and dozen of other stuff that people would love to get their hands on including money.  These sites make money by getting people to sign up for trial offers from big name corporations like Netflix and Blockbuster.  A person usually has to sign up for a set of trials and refer other people that will sign up as well. PPD educated it’s members on these sites and provides access to forums where people help each other to obtain these prizes. PPD details 3 methods to making extra income off of these sites.  Briefly they are:

1) Get paid to help someone complete an offer and get their prize. They can pay anywhere from $10 to $40 for your help.

2)Sign up to sites offering big money like $500, $1000, or even $2000. You then offer to paid for help from other people in the forums. Typically you’ll need to pay out 30-50% of your eventual prize money, but you end up with more money that started with.

3)Basically Method #2 but instead of the cash you go for an ipod or some other in demand electronic and once you get you auction it off on Ebay or some other auction site.

 The Sales Page:

The initial landing page is simple and to the point. The main sales pitch is given via a video made by a PPD member. The woman comes across as believable as she details how well the system works for her and her family. The video is effective in conveying that this system is not a get rich scheme.

The Cost:

Project Payday is running a promotion that states it will pay you $100 if don’t make any money within 24 hours of establishing a membership.  From my research I know that this wasn’t always the case so that promotion might be temporary.  I believe that all you have to is complete 1 offer and your membership is activated.

The Support:

Once your membership is activated you can access their training materials.  The training guide is broken up into 6 sections:

1)Getting Started

2)Ways to make money

3)Planning& Strategy

4)Getting greens

5)Final thoughts

6)Appendix

There is also a Mentoring program where newbies can be matched up with veteran members to help them navigate the system. Help can also be found from the members of the various forums that are attached to PPD.  And there is also a Member Bonus Pack that contains “16 specialized how-to guides” on earning addition income from sites like YouTube and Ebay. This bonus pack is available to members only for the cost of $19.95.

MORE TO COME:

So that’s what they say about their service and what it can do, but what are regular people saying about it? My next post will cover what I found when I researched PPD at the Better Business Bureau and other forums.

If you have any insights on this topic please leave a comment.
